Christmas in class 403

We prepared for Christmas in our classrooms just like the elves do in the North Pole. We hope you enjoyed our little gifts. Here are some pictures I took during the last week before the Christmas holidays. Enjoy them.

Have a very merry Christmas and a wonderful year 2010,
Thank you for all the support you bring to our classroom!
I will see you all in the new year...

December is here

The month of December has finally arrived! Blowing in some snow and the Christmas spirit!

With the Christmas season approaching we are planning a few fun activities for our classroom. The students in class 403 have been writing Christmas stories and they would like to read them to their younger peers in the school. Therefore for the first activity we’ll be reading stories to the grade one students. This activity will take place on the week of December 14th. To make this activity a little more festive the students should bring in a Christmas hat.
Finally on December 17th two activities will take place. Due to the demand of many of my students I would like to have a FIVE dollar gift exchange, or Secret Santa. It is important during the holidays to emphasize the theme of sharing and giving. The gift exchange is a fun activity that will bring our classroom closer together. The students have already picked their “secret” friend, they need to keep this name a secret until next week. We will also have a Christmas breakfast in our classroom on December 17th. Each student will be responsible to bring in something to share with the class for a light breakfast.

Thank you once again for all your help and cooperation, have yourself a safe and joyful Christmas.
